Dealing with Truant/Attendance Officers

If you are visited by a truant or attendance officer, show them your copy of the Church School
Enrollment Form (CSEF).
You are free to give them my name and phone number and ask them to call me with any
questions, if needed.
Remember, you are not required to show a truant officer anything other than the CSEF.
Make sure you get their name and a badge number and a card. There have been reports of false
identities.

If the superintendent’s office calls, let them know when you enrolled with Rosewood Academy
and that you have filed the appropriate form with the BOE, your CSEF. If they are unable to
access that form, you can fax or mail them a copy. Please keep your CSEF in a safe place. If any
other problems arise, ask them to contact me.

The local schools, including all teachers, counselors and principals only receive the Request for
School Records (RSR) in order to send the students records to the new school - there are no
other forms or records you are required to give them. Once enrolled in Rosewood Academy you
are no longer obliged to public school policy.
