Attendance Reports / Progress Reports

Only attendance reports are required by law; Rosewood Academy has set 140 days per year as
the required number of days. Send me unexcused absences only. If you have no unexcused
absences, send nothing and I will report perfect attendance. Your school year can run all year,
with breaks taken when you need them, or you can follow a more traditional school year.

Progress reports are not required by Alabama law. Therefore, Rosewood Academy makes it
optional for parents to send them in. If there are legal/custody issues already in progress or a
possible threat, then these may be mandatory or highly recommended - discuss with me the
situation. They may also be needed if parents plan on putting their child back in public school,
especially if mid-year. The reason being, mid-year enrollment will result in an incomplete
transcript- transcript grades reflect a full year of finished subjects. See the following.

Transcripts

An official high school transcript will be prepared for a graduating senior who needs them for college for no
additional charge.

A student going back into public school or transferring to a private/church school, either in state or out, will
need a transcript of all work accomplished during their enrollment with Rosewood Academy. This includes all
subjects, grades and attendance. We will create a transcript using the grades the parents send to us and will
send the transcript to the parent. Transcript fee is $20 per student if ordered at the end of the school year
by the end of July. After that, the transcript fee will be $30. This additional fee is charged because we would like all
students who are transferring out of Rosewood Academy to have their paperwork completed by August 1.
